The toys inside are not actually some very old toys, like the tin can toys from the 50s or so, but more to a modern toys, i think beginning from the 80s, until recent years. At least the toys being displayed are from my era, and i think it is indeed very cool.
More pics after the jump!
Inside the Penang Toy Museum.
Of all the toys being displayed, i just would like to highlight on these one toy series - M.A.S.K!
M.A.S.K , is an acronym for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, which is a team of underground task force created to fight the evil V.E.N.O.M - Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem.
Well, in a more layman's term, M.A.S.K is actually a cartoon series from the 80s, in which has the toyline that i grew up with. Eventually, i also grew up with the Transformers, but the Transformers toys are way too expensive, that my dad will never buy me one. So eventually i end up with M.A.S.K toys. Not much really, in my childhood, i have only managed to buy 2 M.A.S.K toys, which is the Raven, and the Condor.
So when i saw these toys lineup again (in a museum), it brings me some great childhood memories.
RHINO, one of the most expensive i think. I saw this last time in a supermarket call Chujitsu, a big no-no from my dad. Way too expensive.
SWITCHBLADE, Fighter jet which turns into a helicopter. Piloted by the leader of V.E.N.O.M if i'm not mistaken. Also an expensive toy.
The black car is RAVEN. The one that i owned last time. Shoots flying disc from the front. Converts from a car to a boat. Looks like the Knight Rider.
CONDOR. Also the one that i owned. I remember this one only costs around 19 ringgit at the time when we bought it. Still my dad says it's expensive.
Some of the M.A.S.K lineup at the museum. Unfortunately, i didn't see any THUNDERHAWK. It was there last time, probably someone bought it? haha
Well, at least these are still well preserved at the museum, complete with their boxes. I would never thought that the toys i'm playing when i was a child would be some museum piece. :)
