Bicycle for sale

First of all, NO.. it's not my bicycle which is up for sale. This is an ad which was posted in Craigslist (not in this country as well) way back in 2008. Well, i've just noticed it recently, 4 years later. lol.

Nevertheless, this is one funny ad to read (and mind the words please). Check it out below:

Completed: JW MTB Carnival 2012

08th July 2012

25km of trails, Gombak surrounding areas.

After the last Jamboree at Alam Budiman, i have this feeling that MTB Jamborees around the Klang Valley area would never be a simple one. That feeling of mine was confirmed after i've managed to finished the JW MTB Jamboree which was held at Gombak, starting from Sekolah Menengah Teknik Gombak itself.

Completed: Cycle4Care Charity Jamboree Ride 2012

It was 5am when my alarm clock starts to scream. I can hear the tapping of an early Sunday morning rain starts to pour outside my window. I was thinking, could this be a wet jamboree?

Well, whatever it is, on last Sunday 6th May, I was on for the challenge of Cycle4Care Charity Jamboree, just a few kms away from my house, in Alam Budiman, Shah Alam. The jamboree is about 32km mixed of paved and offroad rides, and will pass-through the famous "Meru DragonBack" and "Bukit Ramlee".

Completed: Jasin S2H Jamboree 29th April 2012

Another MTB jamboree. But this time around, i was a bit more prepared than last time.

The trail map, all 45km of em.

The Jasin Jamboree was quite a long one. For a total of about 45km, it's purely exhausting, and a hot one too. However, the organizer whom has been organizing the same jamboree for the past couple of years, has done such a great job, as it was enjoyable to every each one of the participants, all 2300 riders of them!

2012 10s Deore XT

There has been a new addition to my cycling equipment. It's the 10s DEORE XT 2012 groupset.

I needed to change, because of my previous groupset were broken. The bb were crushed into pieces. I think that's from my last cycling at the Elmina offroad. So, a broken BB justifies myself for a new XT groupset.

It took some time for me to choose, whether to get the XT, or the SRAM X9. There's slight difference in price, but not much on the weight. To my observation, it seems that the X9 is much more sturdy than the XT. The X9 red version looks tempting too.

However, to my final decision, i go with XT, as i think Shimano is more commonly used between my friends, and i think XT groupset is better suited for my kind of cycling level. (eg. not a pro.. yet!). I took the groupset without the brakeset. I don't need a new brake for now.

There's a lot of significance difference between those two (XT and X9), however, i'm not going to explain them here. Those info are widely available, use Google!

Completed: Kuala Pilah Royal MTB Jamboree 2012

The exciting jamboree which was held on 28th January 2012 was participated by around 800 participants. The most important of all, my RM50 MTB did survive the whole track!

The whole course, all 32km of it.

It was a 32km track, with mixture of offroad, a bit of paved road, and a lot (i mean a lot!) of uphills and downhills.

MTB Jamboree, anyone?

I've been MTBing for quite some time now, but haven't tried anything official. All of my previous cycling were with my office colleagues.

I've been on a few tracks a couple of time, mostly Putrajaya, GCE, Shah Alam & Bukit Jelutong area. Nevertheless, my offroad experience were very minimal, as i was only exposed to the trails around FRIM (rover / dream / syabas / pacat / bukit hari  and steroid hill).

Will be joining MTB Jamboree this 28th January, and i think my RM50 bike will have a lot of prep to do.

So far, my wishlist as per below:
