Since i've just got myself certified with CCNP and CNEV6 recently, i've decided to reward myself with a gift i've been drooling ever since. DEORE XT 2012 M785 Hydraulic Brakes

Rumor has it that these are so powerful, that when it is properly mounted on a bike, and the lever is pressed, it will tend to stop the rotation of the Earth!!

Well, just kidding. But i was told ( i mean i read it somewhere ) that it was a good brake to start with. So i guess the reputation well exceeds my need, and to have it to complete the bike, is well worth it. Now i have a complete 2012 XT groupset, just well before the end of 2012, or the day that the Mayan Calender ends.

If Mark Beaumont trusts his 2011 XT brakes for crossing the Americas, so i'll trust my 2012 XT for jamborees.
